Hi There! My name is Tara Fortin, and I am an illustrator and stuffmaker from Toronto Canada.

Working in a frightningly colour co-ordinated studio, the production of cute goods and fuzzy beasts takes up most of my time. The rest of it is spent fighting a loosing battle against the tide of catfur from my helper, Rocko the Cat.

I graduated from the Illustration program at Ontario College of Art and Design.

I sell the majority of of my work on Etsy.com, which is a website for artists and craftspeople to buy and sell handmade goods.

Batcat is an original character that came to life in early university. He was a mere letterhead decoration, but once doodled he never left me. Now Batcat has become the focus of a lot of my work, and I am currently working on a book project that features the naughty winged monster.
